weddings that it has ever been
the pleasure of your scribe to.
witness. The highly interested
parties, who entered into the
holiest of bonds were.Pro! V. L.
Peterson and Miss I. Burke. It
was a twilight 'wedding. The
spacious parlor of the Burke
home was tastefully draped in

lanterns. At seven o-clock ‘ just
as the sun was slowly sinking
“behind the distant prairie hills,
Mrs. Willis Hunter, (nee Miss
Nina Guthrie) began playing the
wedding Anarch. Mr.y Richard
Burke, brother of the bride, and
Miss Lily Franks preceded the
bride and groom to the altar,
.where Rev. J. G, Grant in a few
well chosen and impressive w ords
pronounced them man and w ife.
Little Misses Irene Hunter and
Jessie Burke acted as flow er girls,,
strewing their path with lovely
flowers. and holding* back the
drapery of the portieres to per

Just a few friends and relatives
of the high contracting parties
were present. Among the guests
from a distance were: _ Mr. Will
Burke , of Flatonia and Mrs.
Amanda Guthrie from Temple.
Mrs. Willis Hunter of Oakville,
Misses Lily and Olga Franks of
Sweet Home and Prof, and Mrs.

visit some of the principal cities
of the North ana . East. After
their return, they will reside at
Guy, near Houston, where Prof.
V. L. Peterson is engaged in the
mercantile business.
The bride was attired in an
elegant costume of white organ-

Everyone agreed that she had
never lefore appeared so lovely.
Misses Lily and Olga Franks
