Many Children
War whoops and Indian
chants could be heard in the
library on Tuesday during the
10:00 A.M storytime The 39
children in attendance tried to
coordinate hands, legs, and
mouths to the beat of the Indian
tom-toms as they exercised to a
recording, "Indian Rhythms.”
These exercises are an
attempt to develop the child's
coordination, rhythm and sense
of music.
One of the story time books.
"Dreams" by Ezra Jack Keats,
concerned a small paper mouse
dramatically changing into a
giant monster mouse to
overcome a near tragedy Keats
has written many children's
books in the past and "Dreams"
is his latest title on the book
market
Since the weather was
uncooperative last week Tues-
day morning and many children
ran into the library dripping
wet, it was unanimous that the
weather was meant for ducks
"Five little ducks" is a
