Honors Members
At Luncheon
The Ingleside Home Demon-
stration Club held its regular
meeting and birthday luncheon
honoring members having
birthdays in October, Novem-
ber, and December Thursday
in the home of Mrs. D.H.
Dubose with Mrs. V.G. Guynn
co-hostess.
During the business session
presided over by Mrs M.D.
Nickey plans were made for the
annual Christmas party honor-
ing members of families to be
held December 1$ in the
Community Building of the Low
Cost Housing Development. TJhe
party will begin with a covered
dish supper at 6:30 p.m
Committees appointed in-
clude Mrs. V.R Crofford
building arrangements; Mrs
Merrill Manship, decorations;
Mrs J.H. Northam and Mrs
J L Estes, menu; Mrs D.H
DuBose, recreation; Mrs L T.
Wyninger and Mrs. E P
Hester, telephone.
Birthday honorees receiving,
gifts include Mrs. J.R Wil-
liams, Mrs Zelma Shrider, and
Mrs Manship The serving
tables were laid in white linen
centered with Christmas ar-
rangements.
The Christmas motiff was
used in decorations throughout
the house. Fourteen members
attended.

Mr and Mrs. W A Dreier
were called to Victoria Sunday
by the illness of her sister, Mrs.
Inez Benham.

Of District
Holds Meeting’
Dr Barcus Moore, superin
tendent of the Corpus Christi
District of United Methodist
Churches, presided at the
Charge Conference of the
Ingleside United Methodist
Church Tuesday evening, De-
cember 4.
David Gobel, chairperson of
the Administrative Board,
presided. Dr. Moore brought a
series of timely remarks before
entering into the conference
business.
Reports were given by the
various officers of the church
The report of officials to serve
in the church in 1974 was read
by the pastor, the Rev Dana S.
Green, and was accepted by the
conference
A fellowship period followed,
with coffee and cookies served
by members of the Woman’s
Society.

Grand Lodge last week were

are the parents of a little boy

The schools are all getting
ready for Christmas parties.
A puppet show was held
Monday at the Elementary

Council Meets
In Mathis
The regular monthly business
meeting of the V.F.W. County
Council was held in Mathis at
the John J. McWhister Post
3079, last Monday evening
December 3.
A spaghetti supper, prepared
by the Mathis Auxiliary was
served to members from
Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Rock-
port, Portland, Sinton, and
Mathis.
Commander Charlie Garrett
presided District 6 Commander
Shellie Williams was a guest at
the meeting.
At the Ladies Auxiliary
meeting, Jean Wilkerson in-
stalled Nina Powers, trustee,
and Christine Wyninger, con-
ductress, to fill vacancies.
President Clara McKinney
displayed the attache case, to
be used by County Council
president, which had been
purchased from the “white
elephant” sale proceeds
Recuperating
Pat Campbell is recuperating
in Spohn Hospital after leg
surgery. Campbell is married to
the former Sue Johnson of
Aransas Pass and is the son of
Mrs. Dorothy Campbell of
Ingleside *
HOME FOR CHRISTMAS
Miss Katherine Green, a
student at Eartham College,
Richmond, Indiana, arrived
home Tuesday, December 11, to
spend the Christmas holidays
with her parents, the Rev. and
Mrs. Dana S. Green.
Final plans were made to
have a Christmas party for the
Sinton Nursing home on
December 11 and Thursday,
December 13 at the Cartwheel
Lodge in Taft. Gifts for all
residents with games and
refreshments are planned.
The next meeting of the
County Council will be January
7 at the Portland V.F.W.
