A. A. Noyes' Qualitative Analysis; Blasdale's Quantitative

Course 3.-Quantitative Analysis
Fall, Winter, Spring. Nine Hours Laboratory
a Week and Occasional Quizzes.
Credit 1 Course.
This course will include both gravimetric and volumetric
methods. Commercial substances, alloys and minerals,
will be analyzed in the laboratory. The course is a
very practical one and should be taken by every student
who expects to study medicine or do any chemical work
after leaving college. Laboratory fee, $10.00. Deposit
$3.00.
Prerequisite.-Chemistry 2.
Text-books.-Talbot's Quantitative A analysis; Olsen's
Quantitative Analysis.

Course 4.-Sanitary and Applied Chemistry
Winter, Spring. Two Hours Class-room and
Four Hours Laboratory a Week.
Credit 2-3 Course.
This is a practical course in chemistry, especially suited
to the needs of women students. The class room work will
include a careful study of the sources, methods of preparation,
and comparative values of different foods and textiles.
The laboratory work will consist of analyses of such
substances as drinking water, milk, butter, cheese, icecream,
baking powder, cocoa, jelly, tea. Laboratory fee,
$7.00. Deposit $3.00.
Prerequisite.-Chemistry 1.50
