LAG4ANOE.
Dear Sir: You ask how many
square feet a gallon will cover. De
pends on condition of building.
There it a great deal of lying on
this point. The stock claim of ly-
ing paints is 300 square feet. It’s
a lie, as a rule.
Devoe covers 300 to 500, our
agents think. We think 300 too
low and 500 too high; though
doubtless, they both occur.
How much the other paints cov-
er is equally doubtful; we guess 100
to 400.
The truth is found in another
comparison. Devoe is all paint,
true paint, stiong paint, and full-
measure; the others in general are,
at the best, diluted, adulterated and
short-measure. They cover accord-
ing to body and measure. You
can’t paint with clay lime chalk
sand barytes water or air—no body
in them. Go by -Devoe.
Yours truly

One of the most remarkable cases
*
of a cold, deep-seated on the lungs,
oausing pneumonia, is that of Mrs.
Gertrude E. Fenner, Marion, Ind.,
who was entirely cured by the use
of One Minute Cnugh Cure. She
says: “The coughing and strain-
ing so weakened me that I ran down
in weight fjom 148 to 92 pounds. 1
tried a number of remedies to no
avail until I used One Minute
Cough Oure. Four bottles of this
wonderful remedy cured me entire-
ly of the cough, strengthened my
ltmgs and restored me to my nor-
mal weight, health and strength."

You can always get a word back
somehow with a cross woman. But
the sarcastic snapper has gathered
up her bundles and gone before you

she has thrown at you. In the de-
partment for children’s wash suits
the other day I was kept waiting for
a customer’s change. When I book

Badly
Shattered Nerves
and WeaK Heart.
Too Nervous to Sleep
or R.est.
Dr.Miles’ Heart Cure and
Nervine Cured Me.
Driven at a rate of twenty-five
miles an hour, a three seated tour-
ing car containing nine persons—
four men and five women—dashed
over an embankment at the south
end of Jerome avenue, New York
City, Friday, landing on thesouth-
bound track of the New York Cen-
tral and Hudson River railroad.
Jnst at that moment a south-bound
local train, running fast to make
up time, rounded a curve .and
struck the automobile. Three per-
sons were killed, two instantly; two
were seriously injured, and the
other four, although badly bruised,
were able to go home.
A shattered nervous system nearly always
leads to some affection of the heart, espec-
ially where the pitient'i heart is weak from
hereditary or other causes. l)r. Miles’ Heart
Cure is not only a great heart regulator, but
It is s blood tonic which speedily corrects
and regulates the heart's action, enriches the
blood and im proves the circulation. It will
build you up lust as it did Mr. Crawford
whose letter follows, and greatly improve
your general health:
“I have been so greatly benefited by Dr.
Miles’ Nervine and Heart Cure that I freely
recommend them as the best remedies for
the disease# they are reoommended to cure.
When 1 began taking these medicines I
weighed scarcely 140 pounds, my aenras
were badly shattered and my heart troubled
me a great deal. I had pam in my left arm
and shoulder, had difficulty in sleeping on
mv left side, had frequent smothei'
and my heart would flutter and
I could eat scarcely any hind of fo
suffering great distress, and was so restless
and nervoui that I slept littla night or day.
Now I am never bothered with my heart,
my nerves are steady as a dir, I slerp well,
eat well and weigh 163 pounds. I am happy
now and am trying to make back the money
I spent for doctors who did me no good
while I was ilL”—'T. R. Cxawfoad, Center,

What is Life?
In the last analysis nobody
knows, but we do know that it is
under strict law. Abuse that law
even slightly, pain results. Irregu-
lar living menns derangement of
the organs, resulting in constipa-
tion, Headache or Liver trouble.

re-adjusts this. It’a gentle, yet

We regret very much to learn of
the accident that happened to Ed.
Steinmann one day last week at
the Steinmann ranch on the Gold
en Rod prairie. While roping a
steer, his horse and himself were
thrown violently to the ground, the
pommel of the saddle struck Mr.
Steinmann in the stomach and he
was otherwise injured, but we are
glad to say he is improving very
rapidly.—Schulenburg Sticker.
