Austin L. Hand, bird castor of
Chicago's Natural Hinton M me tan,
said today that nibbling on the
succulent, red fruit of the bush *U
make any robin drunk enough to
fall flat on his bask.
Rand wouldn't comment on whe-
ther the bird would change hln
tune to "Sweet .Adeline" when he
felt “high" or whether the robin
was just naturally comipt. Bid
one observer pointed out:
"You'd go on a binge once In

From the twelfth century children have bee. learning to repeat this prayer of faith Back
of that are the other centuries when families quoted the 121st Psalm from which it was
doubtless taken
"Your Guardian will not tlumber.
He will neither tlumber nor sleep."
Prerious lad with the dimpled cheeks, knowing so little what the world holds of joy and of
sorrow, of foes and of friends, of sickness and of health, of defeat and of triumph. Perhaps
he has mother and father now and every care for hit happiness Who knows what tomorrow
holds for himJ You snd I may not be near to counsel and to encourage What then?
Vt ise and thoughtful for all the years ahead were the parents who early introduced the
lad to his eternal Friend and helped him to be at home in the Father s universe Some day
every boy and girl will have to stand alone; will there he strength from hidden springs, a
tense of sustaining Power5 Seme day every woman and every man must make a choice
between the high way and the low; will there he light that shines on the good path the soul
should take?
Every child born into God's world has a right to know that God is Creator and Sovereign,
that His will finally must prevail. Every gul and every boy has a right to be sure that the uni-
verse is friendly and that its basic principle is Love. Every living person has a right to trust and
to faith and to hope Every human being has a right to know that he is made in the image of
God and eligible to a place in the divine Family We are both animal and divine spirit.
God breathed His own Spirit into man and he became a living Spint. like unto God
Every child has a right to live reverently a* in the continuing and bleeaed fellowship with
the Highest: he has a right to the adult helpfulness that puts his feet in the Way of Life
Teach him to say. "How I lay me down to sleep. / pray the Lord my sou! fo keep. If 1
should die before I wake. I pray the Lord my rout to take "
