BECKHAM
Services for John P. Beckham
Jr-, 47, of Baytown will be held
at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31,
1992, at White Chapel Funeral
Home in Baytown with the Rev.
Clyde Causey officiating.
Beckham died Thursday,
Aug. 27, in a Houston hospital.
He had been a resident of
Baytown since 1974.
He is survived by his wife,
Carol Jean Beckham of Bay-
town; sons and daughter-in-law,
James P. and Diana Beckham of
Baytown, John Phelps Beckham
III of Baytown, David Lee
Beckham of Baytown; Daniel
Lynn Beckham of Baytown;
daughter and son-in-law, Lauren
Michelle Beckham and Kenneth
Wayne Guice of Baytown; pa-
rents, John Phelps Beckham Sr.
and Gladys Beckham; and
grandchildren, Jacob Ethan
Beckham and Marley Christine
Robberson.
Visitation will be from 11
a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30,
at White Chapel Funeral Home
in Baytown.
Cremation will follow the
funeral services.
Arrangements are under the
direction of White Chapel Fun-
eral Home in Baytown.
HANKAMER
Services for I. Jett Hankamer,
88, of Hankamer will be held at
2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 1992
at the First United Methodist
Church of Anahuac.
Hankamer died Thursday,
Aug. 27 at an Anahuac hospital.
A native and lifelong resident
of Hankamer, he was a member
of the pioneer family of Hank-
amer, the First United Methodist
Church of Anahuac, the Elmina
Shriners Temple in Galveston
and was past master of the Ana-
huac Lodge No. 995 AF & AM.
He is survived by three sons,
Daniel J. Hankamer of Hank-
amer, Albert Wayne Hankamer
of Huffman and Lester Alvan
Hankamer of Hankamer; sisters,
News briefs-
Sadie Collins of Unadilla, Ga.,
and Faye Reed of Huntsville;
nine grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be
under the auspices of the Ana-
huac Lodge No. 995 AF & FM.
Burial at Anahuac Cemetery
will follow the services.
Pallbearers will be Daniel J.
Hankamer Jr., Michael D. Hank-
amer, Mitchell W. Hankamer,
John G. Hankamer, Albert
Wayne Hankamer Jr. and Lester
A. Hankamer Jr.
Arrangements are under the
direction of Sterling Funeral

Services for Earvin Green of
Houston are pending at Johnson
and Frazier Funeral Home.
Green died Friday, August
28,1992 in a Houston hospital.
WARREN
Services for Mary A. Warren
of La Porte are pending at John-
son and Frazier Funeral Home.
Mrs. Warren died Friday, Au-
gust 28 in a Houston hospital.
AEBI
Services for Fred W. Aebi of
Baytown will be held on Mon-
day, Aug. 31, 1992, at 2 p.m. at
Cedar Bayou Methodist Church
with the Rev. James M. Frazier
officiating.
Aebi died Friday, Aug. 28 in
a local hospital.
Aebi was bom in Houston. A
retired accountant at Exxon
Chemicals, Aebi was a member
of the Anahuac Masonic Lodge.
Aebi had also been a member of
the Board of Directors of Exxon
Credit Union since the mid
1960’s, serving as secretary and
vice-chairman and on the loan
committee. He was a resident of
Harris County all of his life and
lived in Baytown since 1943.
Survivors include his wife,
Marie Aebi of Baytown; son and
daughter-in-law, Fred and Caro-
lyn Aebi Jr. of Fort Worth;
daughters and sons-in-law, Bar-
bara and Bill Whitley of Bay-
town and Carol and Sandy Da-
vis of League City; brother and
sister-in-law, Steve and Korlyn
Aebi of Houston; grandchildren,
Megan Aebi and Misty Aebi of
Fort Worth, and Kimberly Whit-
ley and Kristi Whitley of
Baytown.
Burial will be at Cedarcrest
Cemetery following the ser-
vices, with Masonic Graveside
Rites.
Services are under the direc-
tion of Navarre-Lee Funeral
Home in Baytown.
MYZELL
Services for Lewin N. Myzell,
83, of Vidor will be held Mon-
day, Aug. 31, 1992 at Sterling
Funeral Home Chapel in
Anahuac.
The time of the service is still
pending.
Myzell, who was bom in
Double Bayou, died Friday,
Aug. 28.
Survivors include his wife,
Barbara Myzell of Vidor, son
and daughter-in-law, Ed and
Joan Myzell of Baytown; sister,
Virginia Hunter of Baytown;
and grandchildren, John Edward
Myzell of Baytown and Susan
Haskin of Texas City.
Services are under the direc-
tion of Sterling Funeral Home in
Anahuac.
CHOATE
Services for James Earl Cho-
ate, 77, will be held at noon Sa-
turday, Aug. 29, 1992, at
Rosewood Funeral Home with
the Rev. Lena Harvey
officiating.
Choate was a member of the
Baytown Revival Center and a
member of the Carpenters
Health and Welfare Local No.
551.
He is survived by his wife of
39 years, Jettie Choate;
daughter, Sharon Choate; and
brothers, Robert M. Choate,
W.W. Choate and James L.
Choate.
Burial will be in Rosewood
Memorial Paik.
Services are under the direc-
tion of Rosewood Funeral Home
in Houston.
HARBIN
Services for Hugh Morgan
Harbin, 76, of Huntsville, for-
merly of Baytown, will be held
at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30,
1992, at Huntsville Funeral
Home.
Harbin died Friday, Aug. 28,
in a Huntsville hospital.
Burial will be at 4 p.m. Sun-
day, Aug. 30 at J.M.S. Everg-
reen Cemetery in Dobbin.

Services for Florence Mae
Porter, 88, will be held at 3 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 30,1992, at Colo-
nial Funeral Home in La Porte

ing it to jam during the mission
earlier this month, a NASA in-
vestigative board said in a preli-
minary report Friday.
CARLSBAD, Calif. — A
company is recalling 48,000
cans of juice distributed
throughout the United States be-
cause of concerns the juice may
have been contaminated by lead
from soldered seams on the
cans. Festin Foods Corp. said
Friday it was recalling 12-ounce
cans of “Valle Juice” and “Nec-
tar” juice imported from Mex-
ico. The recall does not apply to
juice in glass bottles.
