Mr, D. W. Kempner -2- October 14, 1955
I told him I wasn't sure that we wanted to lease this acreage,
but that any proposal he submitted would have consideration.
He said we would very probably hear from him shortly,
Mr. I. H. has been in touch with you about the Plantersville
property, so there is no need for me to comment on this.
We are still working on our sewage disposal problem and
are hopeful of developing something with Iischer who installed
the system in Mayfield Park Subdivision.
Our architects are in high on the hospital, and they have
promised to have detailed plans and specifications ready
by the end of December.
We had our annual employee celebration last Sunday. The
weather was fine, and we fed 3,255 people.
There has been no further development on the Aldine lease.
One of the two producing wells is down, but the lessees
advised that this would be back in production shortly,
The lessees are releasing to us all the acreage except
40 acres around each of the two wells.
A third well has been brought in by the Magnolia on the
Colorado County property, but we have not had any report
on this as yet, It looks like this will develop into
quite a field.
We are having some very fine weather, and we are making
good progress in harvesting our corn and getting the cotton
stalks out and plowed under. Our deadline is next Thursday,
October 20.
I understand from Mr. I. H. that you are feeling much
better, and here's hoping you will continue to improve
and will be feeling fine by the time you get home.
With sincere personal regards, to you, Mrs. Kempner, and
Miss Gladys, I am,
Cordially yours,
Th . L. James
