Dry Ice Comes To
Rescue Of Water Main
BELLE FOUBCHE. S. D <UR»—
Dry ice prevented a drought here.
A dragline droki an unmapped
water main.
There was no valve h the main
near the break and it appeared
probable that the water would
have to be turned off over u large
section of the city.
Merle Odle went to a nearby
creamery, scooped up tour pound*
of dry Ice and packed it around
the pipe Within 10 minutes the
water was frozen and workmen
started repairs.
