Reverend Arnold
Schlueter, head pastor of
the Holy Ghost Lutheran
Church in Fredericksburg
and interim pastor of the
Lutheran Church in Harper
, was honored along with
his wife,. Helen, Sunday
September 2, upon his
retirement.
He had served as pastor
at Holy Ghost for the past
eight years.
Following the morning
service, the couple was
presented with figts and
were h onored with a
reception at the church.
They will be residing in a
log home outside by Connie Smith
Fredericksburg after
visiting family throughout
the month of October.
Reverend Schlueter was
ordained into the Lutheran
Ministry on May 27,1945.

Barbecue and
auction planned
A donation barbecue and cake auction will be held at the
Gillespie County Fair Grounds on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 6pm
to help raise money to cover travel expenses for the Texas 4-H
Champion Livestock Judging Tea. The team will be
particpating in the National 4-pH Judging Competion in
November in Louisville, Kentucky.
Members of the team are Michael Baethge, Lonnie
Jenschke, Brain Boeder and Cody Weinheimer.
