Bernice Castilla became the
bride of Charles Wallace at 7
p.m. on Saturday, May 29 at
St. Austin’s Church in Austin.
Father Rick Nelson officia-
ted.
The bride was given in away
by her father. Alfred Castilla.
She wore a formal length gown
of ivory silk faille fashioned
with an empress bodice of
English net that was appliqued
with re-embroided Alencon
lace. The A-line skirt fell into a
chapel length train. A mantil-
la, edged and appliqued in
matching lace, extended over
the dress train. She carried an
open crescent of white sweet-
heart roses, Boston fern and
coffee foilage.
Ruth Bremond of Dallas
served as maid of honor. Mrs.
H. Stanton Sherfy, sister of the
bride, was matron of honor.
Nobie Bremond, Linda Flores
and Bettina Castilla, sister of
the bride, were bridesmaids.
The flower girls were Jacque-
line Heard, Ashley Wilson and
Alicia Cantu.
Mac Allen of Austin served
as best man. Groomsmen were
Tom Wallace, brother of the
groom, William Buttery, Bill
Wallace and Louis Garcia. The
ushers were Marvin Rusche,
Ernest Castilla and Gerry
Hoerster.
A reception at the Maximil-
lian Room in the Driskill Hotel
followed the ceremony.
The rehearsal party was
given by Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Thomas Wallace on May 28 at
the Hyatt Regency in Austin.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Conrad
Castilla. She has a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Home Econo-
mics from the University of
Texas at Austin.
He is a lawyer with the firm
of Lee and Lee in Mason. He
has a law degree from South
Texas School of Law in Hous-
ton, and a Bachelor of Arts
from the University of Texas at
Austin.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Tom Wallace of
Llano.

with lace. A double pleated,
lace flounce chapel train com-
pleted the outfit. She wore a
waltz length white illusion
veil. Her bouquet was made of
pink and yellow roses arran-
ged in a star pattern.
The brides sister, Debbie
Cox of Llano, served as matron
of honor. The bridesmaids
were Brenda Davis, sister of
the groom, Patricia Striegler,
sister of the bride, and the
bride’s sister in law Gloria ;1
Davis. They wore small pink,
yellow and white roses in their
hair. Michelle Tatsch, daugh-
ter of Barbara Tasch was the
flower girl.
Sheldon Thomas of Houston
was best man. The grooms-
men were Kenneth Davis,
Michael Malke and James
Boatright. Louis Davis and
Keith Fain served as ushers.
A reception was held at the
tabernacle following the cere-
mony. Brenda Davis made the
decorations. Susan Brennan
was in charge of the bride’s
book. Kimberly Dodson and
Sharon Thomas assisted at the
reception.
Kenneth and Louis Davi^
gave a rehearsal party at the
church annex.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Brownie Davis
of New Braunfels.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Roy Walker of

WTSU Dean's List
More than 700- students at
West Texas State University
have been listed on tnc
president’s and dean’s honor
rolls for the 1982 spring
semester.
The Dean’s List includes
Leon D. Schmidt, of Llano, a
junior animal science major.
Included are 621 students who
have earned grade point aver-
ages of 3.25 to 3.84 based on a
4.0 scale.
On the President’s List are
124 students whose grade
point averages range from
3.85 to the perfect 4.0.
Students must be enrolled in
at least 12 semester credit
hours to be included on the
honor roll.
