Police beat
Man destroys
vehicle tires
A Baytown man told police
he was involved in a scuffle
with another man who repor-
tedly destroyed all four tires on
his vehicle.
The man reported that at ab-
out 9:50 p.m., while at his home
in the 1800 block of Alabama,
he heard the air escaping from
his tires. When he went outside
to look, he saw a man standing
beside the car.
Baytown police said the man
shouted at the suspect who then
began to flee.
The man reported that he re-
turned to his home, grabbed a
double-barrelled shotgun and
began to search for the suspect
in his second vehicle. When he
returned home, the suspect was
in front of the house.
The resident told police that
he struck the suspect on the
shoulder with his gun. Some-
time during the scuffle, the gun
discharged, police said.
The two fought in a nearby al-
Jpy way. Finally, the suspect
fled and the resident did not
pursue him.
The man said he was not sure
if the discharge from the gun
Rad struck the suspect.

sparked by an explosion.
