Summer theatre
productions
announced
This summer there will
be two musicals staged by
the McMurry Theatre De-
partment. The first one Gilbert &
Sullivan's "The Pirates of
Penzance" will run on
May 27-29 and June 3-5.
The second play "Floyd
Collins" about a man
trapped in a cave in the
1920s will be shown on
July 22-24 and the follow-
ing two weekends. It has
just been released for re-
gional performances and
will have a guest director.
One reason that the the-
atre department is not go-
ing to show more than two
plays is that there are five
persons in the theatre de-
partment who are getting
married this summer.
