annual banquet
Lea Ann Clare senior art
major from Abilene was
presented a $500 scholar-
ship from the West Texas
Gem and Mineral Society
at that organization's an-
nual banquet.
Clare also recently at-
tended the National Coun-
cil on Education of the
Ceramic Arts in Columbus
Ohio with Linda Stricklin
assistant professor of art.
Clare received a grant
from the Gypsy Ted Art
Gallery to attend.
"The Pines of
Rome" to be played
at Spring Concert
by Erin Lenoir
"The Pines of Rome" will
be on the admission-free
program of the McMurry
Band when it performs its
spring concert at 4 p.m.
Saturday April 24 in
Radford Auditorium.
Some alumni will be re-
turningand perform-
ingfor the concert and
university choristers will
be singing as well says

Respighi's "Pines" one of
the 20th century's more
famous tone poems will

Also "The Stars and

"Battle Hymn of the Re-
public" and "Danza Fi-
