Mathis Loses 35-6
JV-Frosh Contingent Scores On Bears
Though a combined freshman and
jayvee Mathis team dropped
Thursday’s game to the West Oso
Bears 35-6, the game will go into the
Bear’s recordbook as a upsetting
event. The Mathis Bucs have been
the only squad this year to have
scored against the Bears.
The Bucs’ score was came from a
Robert Leija pass to Michael Gutier-
rez who made the run towards the
goal line. The extra-point attempt
failed.
“Due to losses from the ‘no-pass
no-play’ rule, the freshman and
iavvee teams have been combined.”
Soccer Teams Chalk Up Wins Sunday
explained Coach Edgar Hoch, “also I
some jayvee players have been mov-1
ed up to varsity.”
This Thursday night, the Bucs will|
host Bishop with kickoff at 5:30 p.m.
