Hospital day was observed by many people Monday, among whom was the
Sunbeam Band from the first Baptist Church of Harlingen. The group of children,
together with their sponsor, Mrs. E. C. Breedlove, placed their contributions to the
hospital on the desk as they entered.
High honors for the Harlingen High School were won by Jerry Chastain, left,
with Billy Jean Jinkins taking second place, and Ned Davis high for the boys.’
