mate. Need I say more?

CMSE Classes to be offered
Mandated CMSE Core courses will be offered for church volun-
teers on August 9 and August 23 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The CMSE Recertification class will be offered Aug. 16 and Aug.
30 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. ’ ,
Instructor Gilbert Silvas Jr. reports that all classes will be held at
Sacred Heart Parish.

Beginning in August, County Librarian Mr. Kippy, will be back in the
libraries presenting weekly programs for children.
Storytime at the Sinton Public Library is 10 a.m. Fridays.

Booker T. Washington students
hold weekend reunion in Sinton
Former classmates of Booker T. Washington celebrated its 10th
reunion last weekend.
vents included a reception Friday night, a Saturday morning break-
fast, a Saturday night banquet and dance.
They attended church services at Zion Fair Baptist Church and
then enjoyed lunch at the Butter Churn Restaurant.
Those attending were from Sinton, Corpus, San Antonio, Baytown,
Houston and California.

Kid’s Recipe Contest
The Texas Department of Agriculture will hold their third annual
Kid’s Recipe Contest and is asking kids from across the state to
submit their own unique healthy recipes for judging.
The contest is open to Texans aged 6 to 18 and entry packets
include goodies, flyers with information that promotes good nutrition
along with contest details.
Entry cards can be requested by sending an email to kids
kitchen @ agr.state.tx.us. Visit TDA’s Square Meals web site at
www.squaremeals.org and click on the link “For Kids.”
