Lake Area Specialty Clinic
to hold open house today
The Llano News
The Lake Area Health Center
Foundation and Llano Memorial
Healthcare System Foundation
are hosting an open house for the
Lake Area Specialty Clinic on
Wednesday, March 30 from 4:30
to 6:30 p.m.
The specialty clinic is located
in the Frank V. King Professional
Building located at 201 Bay West
Blvd. in Horseshoe Bay.
In addition to the open house,
the Lake Area Health Center
Foundation plans a formal dedi-
cation of the building, which was
donated to the Lake Area Health
Center Foundation by Frank D.
King of Brady in memory of his
son Frank V. King, Jr. who died
of cancer at a very early age.
According to Jim Jones, presi-
dent of the LAHC Foundation,
‘‘we have been very active in
medicine in the area since the late
1980’s."
The donation of the building by
the King family for specialized
medical care enabled the founda-
tion to meet its commitment to
furthering healthcare options in
the area.
The list of specialists currently
providing services at the Lake
Area Specialty Clinic includes:
Marc Chevalier, LMSW-ACP,
vuuii.wtui, Lu Buckingham, MD,
facial plastics surgery; David
Yanase, MD, dermatology; car-
diologists, David Swett, MD, of
Austin Heart, and John A. Dieck,
MD, of Texas Cardiovascular

Clean up day in Buchanan
Lake Village APRIL 16, 8 a.m.
till ?? All who are able to work
please contact Alvin Crumbly at
379-2882 so that teams can be
formed to work in different areas.
If your area is cleaned up maybe
ypu wouldn’t mind helping out a
shut-ih who lives close,V?,,y,9u.
Th?y may need trees or b)»f hes
pruned or yard mowed. If you ask
I’ll bet they would be glad for
your help.
All you teenagers, we could use
your help, it’s only for one day.
How about giving us a hand? I
know Alvin has lots of projects
for us and every able person is
needed. So please join us.
For those of you who haven’t
noticed, go by Rees Street Park.
That shows what one person can
do. Thank you Eddie Favor (Rab-
bit) that park look fantastic. I’ve
lived here 10 years and never
knew there was a picnic table and
bench out there.
You did a great job and to any-
one who helped Eddie, your help
is appreciated also. If one man
could make such a difference in
one little area, think what a whole
bunch of us could do if we work
all over the village!
I heard a rumor that Alvin
Crumley won most, if not all, the
prizes at the Red Bam on the
LasVegas Night. So I talked to
Alvin and sure enough he took
home seven gifts. That’s a lucky
man.
I hope we’ve had our last frost
and we can start planting our
flower and vegetable gardens. I
got carried away a couple weeks
ago when the weather was so nice
and brought all the flowers out of
the nursery, and then we got a
light freeze and some of the plants
look*.sad. I’ve al-ways,bteMpId
to wait till after Good Friday to
plant. I usually follow that advice
but I just couldn’t wait this year.
If anyone has a garage sale,
wedding, reunion, or anything
else they would like me to put in
the paper please contact me at
379-1383.1 need all the help I can
get.
