be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb.

Rev. James Dammon of First Baptist

Webb died on Friday, Feb. 10, in
Anahuac.
He had lived in Baytown since
coming from Groesbeck in 1948.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by sons, James T.
Webb Jr. of Highlands, Randy P.
Webb of League City; daughters,
Cherry Lee Repass of Fruitland
Park, Fla., Katherine Ann Smith of
Baytown, Ruby Rigsby of Conroe;
17 grandchildren; 18 great-grand-
children; and sister, Nita Lewis of
The Woodlands.
Pallbearers will be Tony Cer-
nosek, Ronald Morrison, Javier
Ibarra, Raymond Scott, Matt Ware
and Steve Benavidez.
Honorary pallbearers will be
Michael Webb, James T. Webb ID,
Bradiy Smith, Gregory Smith, Tim-
othy Repass and Paul Sonnier.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m.
to 9 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, at the

Graveside services for A.H.
“Dooley” Ponder, 87, of Baytown
were held at 11 a.m. on Monday,
Feb. 13, 1995, at the Mausoleum
at Memory Gardens Cemetery
with the Rev. D.C. Mangum offi-
ciating.
Ponder died on Saturday, Feb.
11, at his residence.
Bom on June 17,1907, in Hub-
bard, he had lived in Baytown

She served on the board of direc-
tors of Friends of Sterling Library
and the Baytown Sheltering Arms.
Since 1979, Mrs. Roosa had been
actively involved with the Baytown
community and beautification pro-
jects. For the last 13 years, she was
employed by the city, first as the
Baytown Clean City Coordinator
and most recently as special projects
coordinator, working dosely with
state and national beautification
organizations. She also played a
major role in coordinating die devel-
opment of the Goose Creek Stream
Greenbelt.
She is survived by her husband of
41 years, Keith; daughter, Kathryn
Roosa of Nassau Bay; sons, Roger
Roosa of Baytown, Richard Roosa
and wife Polly; grandchildren,
Mark, Maegan and Michael, all of
Baytown, Elizabeth Ricarte and hus-
band John of Long Island, N.Y.
She is also survived by her sister,
Carolyn Grimes and husband Don
of Canton, Ohio; brother, Dr. James
Van Gundy and wife, Judy of
Elkins, W.V; numerous nieces and
nephews.
In lieu of usual remembrances, for
