the 300 block of Melville. Loss
is about $420 for the goods in-
side the vehicle. The truck was
valued at $9,000.
■ Someone stole a $3,500 sil-
ver and gold Rolex watch earlier
this week at Robert E. Lee High
School, located at 1809 Market
Street, from a backpack belong-
ing to a 15-year-old student. Po-
lice received the report Thurs-
day afternoon, when the girl dis-
covered the watch was missing.
■ Someone stole a living
room suit consisting of a couch,
love seat, and chair, as well as a
microwave oven, a videocassette
recorder, and two stereos Thurs-
day night from an apartment at
919 Northwood Drive.
Loss is $1,900.
■ Police arrested a 17-year-
old man early Friday morning
after they discovered the
Hyundai he was driving had
been stolen earlier. Police pulled
the driver over in the 4400 block
of Garth Road because he was

During the 24 hours between
Thursday and Friday mornings,
Baytown police responded to
190 calls on incidents including
one assault, six burglaries, seven
thefts, four auto thefts, one case
of gunshots fired, three cases of
vandalism, and 10 disturbances.
Police arrested 15 people on
charges including auto theft, at-
tempted murder, delivery of a
controlled substance, robbery
and issuance of a bad check

Chicken barbecue dinner—The
Cedar Bayou Masonic Lodge will
hold a chicken barbecue dinner on
Oct. 28 at the lodge, 2850 Ferry
Road. Serving hours will be from 11
a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m.
•Drive through spn/ice will be avail-
able and a donation of $6 is asked to
* help preserve and maintain the his-
torical site of the lodge.
Carnival—The YMCA will have a
carnival and spook house from 7 to
10 p.m. Oct. 28 at 201 Wye Drive.
Admission is $1.
' “Dracula”—The Baytown Little
Theater will perform “Dracula" Oct.
28 with curtain time at 8 p.m. For

Comedy play—The Barbers Hill
. High School drama department will
present “Lend Me A Tenor" on Oct.
28 at 7:30 pm. in the high school
theater. Admission will be $2 fa stu-
