• Third Grade News—
Thursday, October 31, the
Eve of All Saints Day, was a
very happy one for us. Instead
of being dressed as Halloween
spooks, mmebers of the class
participated in a Halloween
Pageant depicting the lives of
many different Saints. We en-
joyed presenting this playlet to
some of our mothers.
We wish to thank our room
mothers, Mrs. Anton Brogger
and Mrs. Jim Chotenovsky, for
sponsoring a wonderful party
for us. We also wish to thank
the following mothers who as-
sisted Mrs. Brogger and Mrs.
Chotenovsky: Mrs. Alvin
Boehm, Mrs. Oscar Glomb, Mrs.
Eugene Miculka, Mrs. Ernest
Kral, Mrs. Elson Schreiber and
Mrs. Clarence Trichel. May
God bless all of you!
“Happy Birthday and we
wish you many more” was
sung to James Sofka Oct. "24.
Thanks to the following for
keeping the Blessed Mother’s
Altar decorated with beautiful
flowers: Bernard Siegel, Regi-
nald .Guettner, Steven Glomb
and Jeanne Miculka.
We were happy to welcome
Bernard Siegel to school Octo-
ber 24 after being absent for
some time due to illness.

© Fourth and Fifth Grades —
We had our tests last week.
Most of us scored fairly well.
Usually the tests make us work
hard, but we feel happy when
the results are good.
Last week we got our photo-
.graphs which do resemble each
of us. It is a nice remembrance
of our class, anyway.
Our class did not have any
Halloween party. We shall have
one for Thanksgiving. We wish
to express our thanks to Mrs.
Martin Wagner for the Hallo-
ween decorations for our room.
The designs show the spooky
idea of the day. Were there
many pranks played in your
surroundings?
This month is dedicated to
the poor souls, therefore, do not
forget them in your daily pray-
ers.

and Robert Hermes

past week was Michael Micul-
ka.
Anthony Spann is the captain
of our football team and Dennis
Muelker is the coach.
We had a grand Halloween
party Thursday, October 31.
Many thanks to room mothers,

The cold wave struck a few
of us with sickness. Quite a
few missed some days of school.
In fact, some missed a whole
week. This was a drawback for
our test week. Many were ab-
sent on the test day and had to
take the test by surprise when
they came to school.
We are grateful to Kenneth
Kubecka for the nice piece of
candy that he gave to each one
of us for Halloween. What a
