Funeral services for Willie
D. Odom, 74 of Tenaha, will
be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,
February 2, 2008 at Pleasant
Hill C.M.E. Church in the
Woods Community with
Reverend W.G. Morris offici-
ating. Interment will follow in
Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The
family received friends from 6
- 7 p.m. on Friday at Jimerson-
Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Odom died Tuesday after-
noon, January 29, 2008 in
Longview.
Mr. Odom was born on
May 23, 1933 in the Woods
Community of Panola County,
Martin and Evie Thomas
Odom. He married Martha
Jones on October 13, 1951. He
worked at Marathon
Letourneau for 35 years until
his retirement. Mr. Odom
loved hunting. He was of the
Methodist faith and was a
member of Pleasant Hill
C.M.E. Church in the Woods
Community. Mr. Odom was
preceded in death by his par-
ents; his wife, Martha Jones
Odom, who passed away on
May 1, 1993; two brothers,
Jimmy Thomas and Artis
Odom; three sisters, Shirley
Odom, Effie Foster, and
Dorothy Jean Odom; and one
son, Johnny Lee Odom.
Mr. Odom is survived by
six sons, Travis Lee Odom and
wife Linda, of Tenaha, Jimmy
Ray Odom, of Tenaha, Bruce

22, 2008 in Carthage.
Mr. Turner was born April
27, 1931 in Palo Pinto, Texas.
He was one of three boys born
to the marriage of Jess Newton
and Annie Laura Johnson
Turner I. He was raised and
graduated schools in Mineral
Wells, Texas and went on to
college, later serving his coun-
try during the Korean
Conflict. He met and married
Mac Evelyn Hendry, and
together raised four children in
a loving home and celebrated
43 years of marriage. Mr.
Turner worked in the Trucking
and Freight industries. He
was devoted to his family and
their support. He is preceded
in death by his wife.
His survivors include sons
Blake Bradley Turner and wife
Pamela, of W. Virginia, and
Brian Alan Turner and wife
Melissa, of Carthage; daugh-
ters Belinda Turner, of
Henderson, and Amy Beth
Taylor and husband Phill, of

Businessman's Club. She was
also a past member of the
Tenaha City Council. She is
preceded in death by husband

brother.

Mrs. Cinnamon was bom
on March 26, 1940. She was a
former employee of Hawkins
County Memorial Hospital
and Hawkins County
Highway Department in
Tennessee. She married Don
in 1965 and made their home
in Persia. She was a member
of Persia Baptist Church and
St. Clair Ruritan Club. She
was preceded in death by her
parents, Pete and Sue Majors,
of the Rock Hill Community
of Panola County.
She is survived by her lov-
ing husband, Donald R.
Cinnamon, of Bulls Gap,
Tennessee; three devoted
daughters, Susan Hataway
Frye, of Alba, Texas, Judy
Hataway Knight, of
Henderson, Ginger Cinnamon
Smith, of Tyler; two sisters,
Kathy Majors, of Lake
Cherokee, and Bonnie
McKenzie, of Mt. Pleasant;

Mrs. Denton was of the
Assembly of God faith. She
was preceded in death by her

Raymond Stockman and Fred
Denton; and two sisters, Helen
Siegel and Joyce Westerman.
Mrs. Denton is survived by
one son, Dwain Ross and wife
Gail Ann, of Beckville; one

Carol Olsen, 61 of Panola
County, will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday, February 2, 2008 in
the Hawthorn Funeral Home
Chapel. She will be laid to rest
at Langley Cemetery in
Beckville under the direction
of Hawthorn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Olsen died Sunday,
January 27, 2008 in Houston.
Mrs. Olsen was bom on
April 30, 1946 at Barksdale
Air Force Base in Bossier
City, Louisiana to the mar-
riage of Morris and Carmen
Perez Pendelton. She was
raised in Pasadena, Texas and
moved to East Texas in 1978.
She lived a full life and was a
blessing to all that she came in
contact with. She will be
missed greatly by those she
has left behind.
Her survivors include lov-
ing husband David A. Olsen,
of Beckville; sons Clinton W.
Rollish and wife Niki, of
Beckville, and David A.
Olsen, Jr. and wife Melissa, of
Houston; daughter Jennifer C.
