Baking day” becomes
a day of smiles, when you use
Calumet. A day of smiles for you
and for the rest of the family, too.
} ou’ll be delighted because Calumet is so
unfailing in its results. You’ll not have one
baking ruined — not one batch of materials
wasted—but every baking will come from
the oven fluffy and tasty and evenly raised.
J^nd then—the best test of all—watch the smiles
when your Calumet bakings go on the table.
The whole family will appreciate the difference
that Calumet makes — the fluffier, daintier bis-
cuits and rolls — the tempting pies and pastries—
the piping hot and appetizing griddle cakes.
Always insist on Calumet. Your grocer has it
— or can get it if you’ll refuse substitutes.

There may be something of the
‘better laws” slogan in effect down
at Austin, but the record of the fire
three weeks of the legislative ses-
sion has not the earmarks of any
adherence to the “fewer laws” part
of the slogan. The first three weeks
of the Thirty-second saw 230 new
bills offered. The first three weeks
of the Thirty-third, the statistician
tells ug, saw no less than 4 34 new
measures introduced, and still the
stream of new bills goes daily Into
the legislative hop er for final ac-
tion. Those statistics are for the
House. For the Senate, the dis-
crepancy is not so great, but where
the Thirty-second had 135 new Sen-
ate bills the thirty-third had 209

I The statements of the four Den-
ton banks under date of Feb. 4 show
what is believed to be the largest
aggregate of deposits in the history
of local banking. The deposits ag-
gregate nearly one and a quarter
million dollars, 31,246,564.22, to be
exact—and is remarkable consider-
ing the fact that there are nearly
twenty banks of deposit jn the courn

often they ward off serious ill* that
frequently result from Continued

Their Easy Action
Rexall Orderlies are a common-
sense remedy for bowel disorders.
Easy in action, they do not purge,
gnpe. nauseate or cause excesaiva
looseness.
They tend to tone and strengthen
the delicate intestinal nerve* and
muscles, promptly relieve constipa-
tion and help to overcome its causa
and make its recurrence improbable.
In these things they differ from oid-
faaiuoned, harsh, dissgmsbl* physio,
which usually give* only temporary
relief and often leaves the bowels in
worse condition than aver.
We particularly recommend Rexall
