from Texas Tech University and a M. S. in Special Educa-
tion from Texas Women’s University. She was employed for
thirty years as a teacher in the Sanger ISD and for an ad-
ditional twelve years at The Dollar General Stores in Paris
and Powderly Betty was member of the Paris Community
Choir and the Old Time Gospel Singers. She was a faithful
member of Bounds Baptist Church serving as pianist for
serval years. She was an avid Texas Rangers fan.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 3rd, from 6:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bright- Holland Funeral Home in Paris,
Texas. The fhneral service was conducted at Bright Holland
Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 4th, 2:00 p.m. with inter-
ment at Red Hill Cemetery, Powderly, Texas. The Rev. Fred
Fangio officiated, assisted by Gary Monroe.
Pallbearers were Bobby Self, Dickie Self, Sonny
Daughtrey, Freddy Daughtrey, Darrell Daughtrey, and
Chad Ward.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bounds
Baptist Church, P.O. Box 707, Powderly, Texas 75473,
The Red Hill Cemetery Association or the charity of your
choice.

Jimmy Don Miller
August24,1968 - May 19,2019
Jimmy Don Miller Jr. passed away on May 19, 2019
at the age of 50 in his home with his loving wife by his
side in Ponder, Texas after his long fight against pancreatic
cancer. His celebration of life service will be held Saturday,
June 8 at Cross Timbers Church in
Argyle, Texas at 2:00 PM and will be
followed by a reception.
Jimmy Don was born on Au-
gust 24th, 1968 in Dallas, Texas to
Jimmy Don Sr. and Donna Miller.
He married Patti-Ann Mullally-Mill-
er on June 30th, 2004 and together
they raised 4 daughters. Jimmy Don
worked as an Assembly Specialist on
Assembly Line 1 North at Peterbilt
Motors Company in Denton, Tex-
as. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and
playing golf in his spare time.
His family paid this tribute to him, “He was one of the
most kind hearted people you could ever meet, he always
had a smile on his face, he opened his heart and home to
his precious grandchildren, and he will be wholeheartedly
missed.”
He is survived by his wife, Patti-Ann Mullally-Miller,
his 4 daughters, Crystal Reid, Alycia Goodwin, Kimberly
Mackeprang, Hannah Miller, by his 8 grandchildren Tye,
Derek, Codi, Boston, Vivian, Jenna, Jaxon, and Cylee, by
his parents Jimmy Don Sr. and Donna Miller, and by his
sister Michelle Lang. He will also be forever remembered by
his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear
friends.

Betty Elaine Scaff
November 11,1946 - June 1,2019
Betty Elaine Scaff, 72, of Powderly, Texas, passed
away peacefully in her home on June 1, 2019. She was
born on November 11, 1946, in Paris,
Texas, to James and Betty Jean Lynch.
She leaves behind her husband, Rog-
er N. Scaff, daughter Carin Campbell
(Sid), and grandchildren Caleb Melton
(Ashley), Chelsea Fleckenstein (James),
Garrett Driskill, Carmen Driskill, and
Jacob Campbell, great granddaughter
Eivor Melton, mother, sister Jimmie
Gayle Kruntorad (John), two sisters-in-
law, Nancy Jill Scaff and Bonnie Scaff,
several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
Betty was a 1965 graduate of Robert E. Lee High

Judith Ann Montgomery
December 13,1939 - May28,2019
Graveside services for Judith Ann (Lewis) Montgom-
ery were held Monday, June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Rosehill
Cemetery
Judith Ann Lewis Montgomery was
born on December 13, 1939 in Ardmore,
OK to James and Lucille Lewis. She
passed from this life on May 28, 2019
in Denton, Texas. Judy married the love
of her life Keith Raymond Montgomery
on June 1, 1963 in Ardmore, OK. Judy
attended Oklahoma State University and
she was a member of Lake Kiowa Wom-
an’s Club and Lake Kiowa Golf Associ-
ation. Judy and Keith lived in Denton,
TX for 20 years where she worked as an accountant and
book keeper. In 1993 they moved to Lake Kiowa where she
has resided for the past 26 years. Judy is preceded in death
by her father James F. Lewis Jan. 12, 1993 and her mother
Lucille Ruth Lewis Sept. 29, 2000.
Survivors include her husband Keith Montgomery,
Lake Kiowa,TX; sons, Kevin Montgomery of Sanger, TX
and Darren Montgomery and his wife Amy Montgom-
ery of Crossroads, TX; granddaughters Megan and Kylie
Montgomery; and brother James Lewis and his wife Peggy.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Soci-
ety at 250 WILLIAMS ST 4TH FL ATLANTA GA 30303-
1032.
