Axing ranch house doors. They're si

ahd- fulling movie deeds. They save
the rancher’s daughters when villains
hold carouse, and baffle wicked plotter*
instead of milking cows. Their war
cries weirdly screeching they ride thMr

the I,wood r-alwa to drink. ‘ They are
romantic hustlers, a brave and nervous
crew; they dinnt the i-attlo rnatlars. and
shoot the oesterji, toej they shoot up
any stnarttea who may wear city rags;
they shoot up parties who criticise their
nags. We never see them sowing, or
rfntng useful things; more movie fits
they're throwing, and riding round in
rings. 1 ride with western shooters
along the mountain roads, and then re-
join my tutros, and study Milton's odes.

We are inclined to the opinion that
there are a number of editors in
Texas who can not borrow $100,000
without interest and without secur-
ity, after reading the many com-
ments on this phase of the mutter
in the publications that come to our
exchange table The fact that Fall
borrow that big sum on his personal

attentidh from the paragrapners
than the why of the transaction.

How ^0 Wear It
Of course how you wear your suc-
cess makes a difference in the way
other people feel about it- VVhcther
you wear it patronizingly or insolent-
ly. Or with false humility. Or sensi-
bly find ■nnself-conseiously, with your
mind on something else. Some new-
ly successful people wear their suc-
cess in a Self-conscious way like a
woman with a new gown, which she
is thinking about all the time and
hopes everyone is noticing- Do you
remember the “silly little maiden
with the silly little bonnet, with a
ribbon and a feather and a bit of
lace upon it,” of the ojd song? She
thought the halladejahs of the choir
were, “Hardly knew you!” Well,
some successful people are like that
in their way of trying to relate
everything that happen* and is done
to their own egos.
But even the most modestly worn
-success is seldom entirely without
