of four members of the Nick
Jones' Band that is playing for
each of Gov. preston Smith's
receptions. The band consists
of drummer, pianist, singer and
guitarist. Bassett, who plays
the drums, has been in school
at san Marcos the past 2 years
and will enroll in the University
of Texas pharmacy school in
September. The band has 9
engagements at the Governor’s
