A time table was not discussed
but the project would be much less
than the proposed $187,000 price
tag that was discussed in a meeting
earlier this year.
The school board will discuss the
matter once again at it's Wednesday,
December 14 meeting. The meet-

the board to December 14 because

the meeting, the board voted unan-

advanced classes at Llano High

Llano City Council unanimously gested that Mary Moursund, ex-
ecutrix of the Norton Estate, be
contacted and asked to meet with
the council. (She was scheduled on
the agenda but did not attend the
Monday night meeting.)
Councilman Kelly Oestreich
asked if it would "do any good" to
make an appointment and send a 2-
man committee to attend to this
matter.
Hopf said it was a great idea, but
that would be the second time such
a committee had undertaken the task
and it had not worked.
A motion was unanimously ap-
proved directing City Manager Tom
Donaldson to do what needs to be
done to liquidate the estate.

acquire the land for the proposed *
expansion. (
The land is currently owned by
the Tom and Mary Phema Moore
Estate at a cost of $90,000. It was
said that a longer runway would
open the airport to a wide variety of
commercial markets which would
increase economic activity.
Golf course
The golf course expansion is
continuing to move but it was dis-
cussed that some economic sales
tax money could be used to com-
plete the project. The price tag for
completion was estimated at
$200,000.
Bob Weber, who heads the com-
mittee to raise funds for the golf
course expansion, said that there are
currently six tournaments a year and
that each year there are about 2,800
non-members that pay green fees
here to play golf.
Weber said that Llano is a very
desirable place to retire and the golf
course is a major consideration for
those looking to relocate in Llano.
The board will meet again Mon-

Airport
The Llano airport is in line to
receive grant money from the Fed-

tabled passage of the controversial
"sidewalk ordinance" during its reg-
ular monthly meeting Monday
night.
Aroused Llano merchants packed
I the council chambers to question
and object to the proposal which
would have restricted the number of

I Mayor Jeff Hopf said, " I apolo-

did what we thought was right

I Hopf also said that the request for
| such an ordinance had originated
■ when a representative of the Llano
Merchants Association suggested it.
I Members of the association at the
Monday council meeting denied that
it was an association request.
< The council also discussed the
Norton Estate funds. Hopf said that
