EVEN LITTLE RED HEN
WANTS A NIGHT OUT
KANKAKEE, Ill. —OP)— A little
red hen, apparently tired of the
prosaic everyday task of laying
eggs, took a nocturnal jaunt.
It happened one night when the
chicken * master, Zephlre Richard,
a farmer of near Bourbonnais,
drove three mile* into Kankakee.
When Richard arrived in town,
he discovered he had an uninvited
passenger-the little red hen pre-
cariously perched on the back
bumper. Richard says the hen rode
back the same way.

The bar association, in coopera-
tion with the American Heritage
Foundation which is directing the {
project, has written presidents of I
local bar associations in cities on
the train’* schedule, requesting
their active participation.
Park said towns and cities where
the train does not stop are also
urged to participate in the cele-
bration by planning pilgrimages of
public officials, school children and
patriotic groups to the nearest
town where the train stops.
Local celebrations in the 14 Tex-
as cities were suggested to center
around the mayor's official desig-
nation of re-dedlcatlon week, in-
cluding the d*y of the train's stop.
The week should include designa-
tions of Church Day. School Day,
Veterans Day, Labor Day. Ameri-
can Justice Day, Industry Day and
Flag Day. Park said
The train is composed of several
cars, carrying the Constitution of
the United States, Declaration of
Independence, Bill of Rights, Mag-

ington's farewell address. Roger
Williams’ statement on religious
freedom and about 100 other docu-
