As Lillian Anderson she ruled as
“Queen of a Century of Progress"
at Chicago sin 1933. Recently she
celebrated the third anniversary of
her marriage to Charles Horlic by
working in her flower garden.
She said she does not long for
the pomp and fanfare that at-

Mrs. Horlic said, However, that

Lexington two and Caldwell and
Brenham one each.
* The 1937 season will go down in
many moons for the teams of tne
circuit, but despite the, teams’ rec-
« ords taken on a whole, tlie indi-
vidual stars will stand up with
any in a similar class.
A queer fact is that five of the
players nominated for the 1937
mythical aggregation' were placed
on last year’s Banner-Press team.

They are Paul Nemir, All-
Southeast Texas end from Nava-
sota; Roy Lehman, fiinrrt—tacHe
from Bellville; Harry Phillips,
sturdy Bellville guard; Perry Lee
Thomas, Brenham’s great end;
. and wild Willie Zapalac. Bellville's
hope for All-State honors.
Lexington, who was raised from
Class G to Class B this year, plac-
-ed Wilfred Ahrendt, the district's
best guard, and the sensational
Fount'Wade on the All-Star ele-
ven.
The ends are held down by Paul
, Nemir, tall wingman from Nava-
sota. and Perry Lee Thomas, stoc.,
ky Brenham flanker. Both are
outstanding on defense and on the
receiving end of passes.
