class in 1941 and attended Baylor
University the following year. She
has been a student nurse for elev-
en months-
Mr. Bridge la the son of Rev.
and Mrs. R. T. Bridge of Abilene,
Texas, and it had been hoped that
the groom’s father could perforrp
the ceremony, but he is on actiite
duty overseas, holding a position
as Red Cross Field Director. Mr.
Bridge was born in the Bahama
Islands and for a few years made
his home in England. Members
of his family were survivors of
the ill-fated "Athenia” in 1939.
They are British by birth but be-
came naturalized Americans some
years ago.
Miss Constance E. Bridge, sis-
ter of the groom, will attend the
bride as maid of honor. She has
a position as Red Cross Recrea-
tional Director at Camp Swift.
