DALE LEGGETT
Saves Two Airmen
possible drowning at Lake Kemp
near Wichita Falls.
Dale Leggett, a sophomore pre-
veterinary major, from Wichita
Falls, noticed the sun glinting off
and object in the water during a
recent fishing trip. Investigating
the object, he found the two air-'
men clinging to an overturned
boat.
He took the men to shore where
they were able to warm up in a
near-by cabin.
In the excitement of the rescue,
Leg'gett failed to learn the names
of the airmen. He hurried home
so his parents would not worry
about his being- gone so long.
The J-Tac learned of Leggett's
action through a friend of the
family, Mj'. W. A. Spoonts of
Wichita Falls. In his letter, Mr.
Spoonts wrote: "I am personally
acquainted with Dale's father and
mother as well as with Dale him-
self, and I know that this action
is sypical of his basic principles
and tenets,"

Kennedy, Taylor Picked as
Personalities by Collegians
President John F. Kennedy and
Elizabeth Taylor were named as
the worll's most attractive per-
sonalities by collegians in a na-
tion-wide poll conducted by, and
revealed in, the current issue of
Campus , Illustrated, the national
magazine of the college communi-
ty. Male collegians were united in
stating that Miss Taylor is "the
most beautiful woman in the
world." ..Coeds termed the Presi-
dent "a man amony men."
"Beauty, charm and simplicity"
were the adjectives most used in
destfribiny Jacqueline Kennedy, the
second choice of colleye men. The
Presidents "lady" far outdistanced
another "lady," third-place holder,
Gjivce K«l)y, who was termed "the
epitome of social grace and poise."
The nation's coeds made Paul
Newman an easy second-place
winner because the girls felt "the
eyes (Newman's) have it." Still
on'the optical kick, coeds named
Rock Hudson to third place be-
cause he has "that come hither
look."
Completing the coeds' top ten
list are John Gavin, Gary Grant,
Robert Kennedy, Dwight D. Eisen-
hower, Nelson Rockefeller, John
Wayne and Peter Lawfoid.
Kim Novack, Gina Lollobrigida,
Sandra Dee, Debbie Reynolds,
Julie London, Sophia Loren and
Brigitte Bardot complete the male
college students' top ten choices.
