Rev. Frank Denton, son of
Mrs. Winnie Denton of Rusk,
has been named director of
deve'opment for Buckner
Baptist Benevolences in Dal-
las. Mr. Denton is presently
Secretary of the Endowment
and Capital Giving Depart-
ment of the Baptist Genera'
Convention of Texas, a post
he has held since 1963.
Announcement of the ap
pointment was made by Buck-
ner Benevo'ences' President
R. C. Campbell said with the
coming of Denton, a new de-
partment of development is
being created for Buckner,
which will ^erve Buckner's
nine unit^ of work located in
Dal'as, Houston, L ubbock, San
Antonio and Burnet. The de-
partment will be headquar-
tered at the administrative
offices in Dallas.
A native of Lufkin, Texas,
Denton has been pastor of ch-
urches in Missouri, Quitman
and Fort Worthy He is a gr-
aduate of Baylor University
and Southwestern Seminary.
He and his wife and three
children reside at 3209 Sh-
arpview Lane in Dallas.
Denton will take over his
new duties July 15.

Scheduled At Huntington
Pastor Tells Worship Topic
Sunday at the 11 o'clock
hour of worship at the First
Presbyterian Church, the
message of the pastor. Rev.
I. Allen Ho'ley, will be "No

The Afternoon Circle ofthe
women will oe tieid at a time
and place to be announced
from the pulpit.
Wednesday evening at the
church at 7:00 o'clock the
monthly meeting of the Ses-
sion will be held.

vited to attend the services
f this church.
The 12th Annual Hunting-
ton Homecoming is schedul-
ed in the city June 29th, ac-,
cording to Elbert Piatt, pre-
sident, Huntington Youth Re-
creation Association.
Festivities will get under-
way at 10;00 a.m. with a par-
ade through downtown Hunt-
ington. At 11:00 a.m. C. A.
Nea> Pickett, Executive Dir-
ector, Deep East Texas Ec-
onomic Development District,
will speak at the high school.
Lunch will be served in the
high school cafeteria at 12;00
Noon.
Class meetings will beheld
at 2:30 p.m. This will bepre-
ceded by the drawing for a
color TV.
The coronation of the Hunt-
ington Homecoming Queen and
her court will be announced
at 8;30 p.m. The cornation
will be held in the Hunting-
ton High School Auditorium.
All proceeds from the Hunt-
ington Homecoming are used
to promote Youth Recreation
Activities in Huntington.
