demonstration clubs by the
Associate Home Demonstra-
tion Agent, Dorothy J. Rambo.
The Rockhill Club met lr.the
home of Mrs. Inex Stafford,
Monday night, May 12, at ~:00
p.m. Attending were Me'-

tie Stafford, and Grade W'al

The Ruskette Club met in the
home of Mrs. Irving Conley,

shoulders. He urged them to
be industrious, to study and
to work; to build better char-
acter, to be better neigh ,
bors to their fellowman at
home, and abroad; and to up-
hold the Christian principals
that have made this nation the
greatest the world has ever
known.
Local ministers participa-
ting In the service included
Rev. L. Allen Holley, pastor
of the First Presbyterian
Church, who issued the call to
worship;
Rev. Wayne C. Morrow,pas-
tor of Calvary Baptist Church
offered the invocation; and
guests were welcomed by Rev,
Howard K. Williams, pastor
of First Methodist Church.
The scripture for the service
was read by Rev. Thomas J.
Bagley, pastor of West Union
Baptist Church. He chose the
12th Chapter of I. Corinthians.
Evening prayer was offered by
Rev. U. Van Sickle, pastor of
Eastside Baptist Church.
Special music, directed by
Rev. Talbert, featured the vo-
ices of various church choirs

by Rev. Williams.

Henderson Fisherman Drowns;
Body Recovered From Lake
The body of Howard Lynch
was recovered from Lake
Stryker Wednesday morning
around 9«30. He had arrived
at the lake Tuesday to spend
the night there Ashing. His
boat was discovered below
the spillway early Wednes-
day, and several rescue units
were alerted to assist with
the search.
According to Cherokee
County Sheriffs Deputies
Otho Black and Alan Hughes
the body was found about 9{30
a.m. He was not expected
back at his home ^n Hender-
