service was initiated in late
ft October at a kickoff dinner held
at the Hotel Anatole in Dallas.
More than 150 area brokers,
sales associates and executives
of IREN attended the dinner.
Present from Mineola were Mr.
and Mrs. Tom Liedtke. Mr. and
Mrs. Dennis Shaw, Mr. and
Mrs. Al Wheeler, and Mr. and
Mrs. Barry Head.
The international relocation
service was originated for
IREN brokers by Tom Liedtke
and other governing board
members. The program" is
designed to assist an individual
or a corporate employee when
moving.
As a part of the new service,
when a client first contacts his
local IREN broker, he is put in
touch with a broker in the area
where he is planning to move.
The family is provided eom-
plete information on the new
community, including data on
area schools, shopping centers
cultural offerings, voter regis
tration. area tax structure,
maps of the area, and other
details including how to
register for state's drivers
license.
Glenda Shaw recently passed
the relocation training program
given by the coordinator for
East Texas. According to Mrs.
Sha, “it’s a get acquainted,
gersettled, put down roots kind
of packet designed to make the
moving of a family an easier
emotional experience."
Besides providing an infor
mation packet, the relocation
service offers a variety of
services for individual needs.
Brokers make arrangements
for families to visit the
prospective area, help plan
their time there so as to make
the most of visiting hours, help
with the purchase of home,
keep ■ clients informed of
closings, provide loan informa
l tion and just about anything
