It was a sweet victory for the
Rattlers since, at this time last year,
SU put them out of contention for a
national tournament berth by ousting
them in five games.
Coach Giada Munt presented
team-autographed balls to the four SU
seniors who wrapped up their
successful volleyball careers at SU.
In the pre-game ceremony last Thursday, S.V. recognized seven seniors.
Codch Munt presented flowers to her assistant, Nancy Seller [to her left]; trainer
Kim Crenwelge and manager Jackie Siders. Flowers and autographed balls
went to the senior players: Kim Dykes Traylor, Lisa Caviel, Carol Shiller, and

It was the first game of the season -
and it showed. The occaisional 18-foot
jumper and tight defensive move
were contrasted equally by the
turnover and hacking foul. But., the
Lady Bucs prevailed over the Mary

in the departments of fine arts, goverment,
philisophy, and psychology, all of which
are core requirements, were filled before
freshmen with no entry hours began pre-
registration. Why were vanity athletes of
the same standing already pre-registered in
those courses? Can this be justified?
Basically, I as a student just want a fair
shake. I fed that I and others who are mere
students deserve better consideration at pre-
registration.

Lady Bucs begin the season 1-0.
The outcome was uncertain at the
half. The Bucs had but a shaky
two-point lead, 41-39. Furthermore,
the game see-sawed until 2:00
remained in the game. Then, the
Bucs exploded for ten unanswered
points to seal the fate of the MHB
Crusaders.
