The St. Charles caught lire when
agreed to meet again at 11 a.m.
Tuesday (8 p.m. Mondat cst).
Brig. Gen. William P. Nuckols,
spokesman for the UN delegation,
said the Reds seemed "strangely”
indifferent to the outcome of the
debate in both subcommittees.
Were Very Rude
“They were rude and ill-manner-
ed, if not intentionally impolite,”
he said.
He said Chinese Maj. Gen. Hsieh
Fang spent part of the time in
the truce supervision subcommit-
tee reading a magazine which he
handed back and forth to North
Korean Col. Chang Chun San and
the Communist interpreter.
The interpreter giggled frequent-
ly, he said.
Hsieh moreover repeatedly ac-
cused the Allies of attempting to
"wreck" or "intentionally delay"
the truce talks. The Reds have
made similar charges in the past
before breaking off the talks tem-
porarily.
