Several community services pro-
grams will begin in January at Paris
Junior College, according to June
Jones, director of community
services.
Courses scheduled include driver’s
education, defensive driving,
presiding at meetings, stress
management, computer, rifle stock
customizing, quilting, art apprecia-
tion. income tax, investment, test tak-
ing and cabinet making. In ad Litton,
a physical fitness program and train-
ing for the Widowed Persons Service
are planned during the month.
Reservations for the courses,or pro-
grams should be made by calling the
PJC Community Services Office,
784-9445 or 784-9447. Payment of the
fee is required in advance when a fee
is charged. CHecks may be mailed or
taken to the office in the Alford
Center.
Driver Education: Classes in
driver s education will begin Monday,
January 6 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the
Rheudasil Learning Center. James E.

Presiding Officers: A seminar for
presiding officers of organizations is
scheduled for Thursday, January 9
from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Alford
Center. Ray Karrer will teach the
seminar entitled “‘Making and
Managing Motions in Your Organiza-
tion’s Business Meeting.” No fee will
be charged.
Rifle Stock: Bill Arnold will teach
a 40-hour course in rifle stock
customizing from 6 to 10 p.m. in the
Alford Center The course will be held
for 10 weeks, and th efee will be $110
plus the stock blanks.
Physical Fitness: Jim Davis will
present an introductory physicla
fitness program at 3 p.m. Monday,
January 13 for persons itnerested in
using PJC’s gamefield for exercise
benefits. The class will begin in the
Alford Center and no fee will be
charged.
Advanced Lotus: A class in advanc-
ed Lotus 1-2-3 will be held from 9 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Friday, January 17 in the
Applied Sciences Center. The six hour
course, taught by Betty Swasko and
Barry Russell, is for persons who
have previous experience with the
program. Fee is $75.
Stress Management: A stress
management program, designed to
ehlp reduce stress and anxiety, will
be offering beginnign Monday,
January 20 at 7 p.m. in the Rheudasil
Learning Center. Lyn Rhodes will be
instructor and five other sessions will
be scheduled on an individual basis
using biofeedback equipment. Fee is
$25
Quilting: A beginners quilting class
will be taught by Kristina Campbell
starting Monday, January 20 from 7
to 9 p.m. and continuing for eight
weeks. The course is a continuation
fo the fall classes, but new students
may enroll. Students will learn to
draft quilt patterns and to hand piece
a quilt top. Fee is $25.
Microcomputers: Two classes in
Computer for Consumers Leve I are

troduce microcomputers to persons
with no computer experience and to
give information on purchasing a
computer. Betty Swasko will teach
the four hour course from 7 to 9 p.m.
