DIANA LYNN MAREK of Dime
Box was among the 2,066 graduates
at the August graduation cere-
monies at Texas A&M University.
Diana received a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Agronomy and
completed the requirements neces-
sary for teacher certification in the
area of science at the secondary
level. Her cumulative grade point
ratio at Texas A&M earned her the
graduation honor of Cum Laude.
While at Texas A&M, she received
the following scholarships: David
Weise Memorial Endowed Scholar-
ship. Lee Ann Larson Vollmer
Memorial Scholarship, Luther Jones
Memorial Scholarship, New Horizon
Lions Club Scholarship, and the
SPJST Undergraduate Scholarship.
Diana is currently doing her student
teaching at Somerville High School.
She is the daughter of Clifton and
Cathy Marek of Dime Box and the
granddaughter of Ella Ruzicka and
Esther Marek, also of Dime Box.
