The VFD Ladies Auxiliary's ice
cream social and silent auction on
June 19 was a tremendous success
with mor than 100 people in at-
tendance.
Everyone was very generous with
monetary donations at the door,
which helped so much in making
this event a great fundraiser for the
Auxiliary. A bountiful supply of
ice cream in a variety of flavors was
on hand, including a number of
freezers of home made.
Special thanks go to Schwan's and
HEB-Kingsland for their donations
of ice cream. A heap of thanks also
goes to the women who brought
freezers of homemade ice cream.
There were 30 items in the silent
auction, which also added to the
revenue gained from this fundraiser.
Thanks are extended to T-Mart, The
Strand, and Teresa's Hair Station, as
well as Auxiliary members, for
their donation of items for the auc-
