The designation of certified Insurance Counselor has been conferred
upon Tony Garza of McAfee Agency, following his successful completion
of a rigorous insurance education program sponsored by the Society of
Certified Insurance Counselors.
The announcement was made by Dr. William T. Hold, Society President,
who conferred the designation on Mr. Garza in official ceremonies conducted
recently in Dallas.
The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors is a national non-profit
organization dedicated to professional insurance education. Its continuing
education program is conducted in all states, the District of Columbia, and
Puerto Rico. This year marks the society’s 25th anniversary.
Currently, close to 17,000 agents and insurance professionals throughout
the country have received the CIC designation, and Dr. Hold said this number
is expected to increase significantly in the coming year.
Mr. Garza and other individuals who hold the CIC designation have
demonstrated their professional competence through a combination of
experience, formal training, and a series of comprehensive written examinations
focusing on all major fields of insurance, insurance management and agency
operation.
He is now qualified to obtain the risk management license and perform
services as a risk management consultant for governmental agencies,
private industry and small businesses.
With nearly three years as a member of the staff at McAfee Agency, he joins
Robert Garza as the only C.I.C.s with the firm.
So visit with Tony soon to discuss your
insurance needs. He’s highly trained,
highly motivated and eager to assist you.
