one. Go girls!
Personally, I was thrilled to
learn from TOM KOBETT that
we are going to have another

Peter’s Catholic Church. This
one is for the benefit of the ST.

•The BOERNE FESTIVAL OF
ART AND MUSIC, Oct. 14-16,
was a huge success - Friday
evening at KENDALL HALLE I
was privileged to witness scores
of very generous bidders for the
fabulous artistic offerings. The
food/dinner was excellent and
all the art and music supporters
were having a marvelous time!
All of the artwork displayed in
the Halle was outstanding, but
an oil painting that caught my
eye was one of bluebonnets done
a bit differently; there was an in-
teresting display of rock forma-
tion, which gave the painting
extra momentum, I thought. En-
joyed seeing it BECKY

•Into each life some rain must
fall, and this week we learned of
the death of MRS. MAURINE
(DAN) SHOOK BRIEF of St.
Charles, Missouri, which left
many of her loving friends griev-
ing for her. She was preceded in
death by her fine husband, DR.
DANIEL A. BRIEF, her son
JOHN BRIEF, and her brother,
CARROLL SHOOK. Maurine
was an energetic member of the
BOERNE READING CLUB
from 1987-99, and was loved by
all who knew her. We extend our
