It wasn’t so much the Comfort
loss last Friday that bothered
Bobcats coach Lee Wiginton as
much as it was how the team
played in the 35-12 defeat to
Blanco.
Turnovers and penalties hurt
the team which fell to 1-1 in dis-
trict, leaving Blanco as the only
undefeated team in 27-2A at 2-
0. Wiginton said the Bobcats
can’t wait to get back on the
field to get the bad taste out of
its mouth.
“This football team wants to
get back on the field as soon as
possible to prove to ourselves
that we can play much better
than we did last week,” Wigin-
ton said. “I can guarantee our
team will come out on a mission
Friday night against Johnson
City.”
As if the team wasn’t motivat-
ed enough, Friday’s contest at
Bobcat Stadium is this year’s
homecoming game and the team
will want to play well before the

BHS coach Joey Cantu said it
was good to be back on the
court after the team had its last
two matches called because of
rain.
“The team played really well
and this was good for us since
we haven’t played in awhile,” he
