Article 1st
Genl. Antonio Lopez de Santa agrees that he rill not
take up arms, nor «ill exercise his influ^n^e to canae them
to be t: kan up, against the people of Tex^a during the
present war of independence.

All hostilities between the Mexicans and Texian troops

will cease immediately uoth on land and water.

The Mexican Troops v^ill evacuate the Territory of
Texas, passing to the other side of the Rio Grande del Norte.
