DIVINITY CANDY
Part 1-1-2 cup sugar, 1-4 cup water.
Part 2-3 cups sugar, one cup corn syrup, 1-2 cup
water.
Beat until dry the whites of two eggs. When part
one has boiled until it threads as for cake icing, pour over
the beaten whites and beat thoroughly. When part two
has boiled until brittle when placed in cold water, pour
over the first mixture and beat until stiff. Pour out on
buttered plates and cut into squares. One cup of nuts
added before candy is too stiff improves the flavor. Flavor
with vanilla.
Mrs. C. H. Jones
