"The Thresher" staff visited the Hous-
ton Post plant last week and gained val-
uable points on the running of a paper.
OKLAHOMA A. & M.
David R. i orter, head of the student
department of the Y. M. C. A., will ad-
dress the college on Feb. 23.
Ex-President Taft will speak at O. A.
M. C. February 19.
A chapter ot Omicron Nu has been es-
tablished at the college. This is a Nation-
al Home Economics honorary fraternity.

Dr. R. S. Hyer, presient of the Uni-
versity since its foundation, will resign

Wni. Butler Yeats is due to speak in
Baylor on April 14.
Fraternities are now permitted at the
Baylor School of Medicine. Regular
academs are protesting against the par-
tiality.
The cless of '20 edited the Baylor La-
rait this week.
The Class of '20 proposes a $1,500 gift
to the college.

Jerome J. Byrne and Helen Chayls won
the Wilmot prizes in the FreShman De-
clamation Contests.
Flu in quite prevalent in Austin but
there are very few bad cases.
Phi Nui initiations during the week
included Pensive Cocke of San Antonio.

to prevent the worst features of the

duction of tne Winsonian Dramatic Club
'was presented on Feb. 4. A leading role
was played by Frances Cocke.
An acid explosion in a campus build-
ing created quite a sensation. Perchloric
acid and ammonium perchloirate were re-

Sigma Delta Psi, honorary
fraternity is holding a try-out for new
