Duane St a cup
Howard Duane Stallcup,
82, of Nocona, died Monday,
Nov. 26, 2012 in Wichita
Falls United Regional
Hospital.
Funeral Services are to be
held at Nocona First United
Methodist Church,
Thursday, Nov. 29, at 1:30
p.m. with Minister Jerry
Jones officiating assisted by
Gary McAlistar, and Buddy
Lee.
Interment will follow at
Nocona Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the
direction of Jerry Woods
Funeral Home.
Duane was born in
Clarendon on Jan. 2, 1930.
He was the son of Vera
Thomason Ligon and the
adopted son of Simon B.
Stallcup. He was preceded in
death by his parents and a
son, John Burr Stallcup. He
is survived by his wife of 62
years, Linda Lou Stallcup of
the home; a son, Bradley S.
Stallcup; grandchildren,
John and Lindsay; a great-
grandchild, Maximillion;
and a brother, Richard
Stallcup.
Duane graduated from
Nocona High School with
the class of 1946. He attend-
ed Hardin College and North
Texas State College and
married Linda Lou Lindsay
on Dec. 23, 1950. He was
employed by Hughes Tool
Co. for 42 years, retiring as
Executive Sales Manager of
the Tulsa, Okla., region. He
was a member of Nocona
First United Methodist
Church and Nocona Jean's
Men's Bible Class.
Active pallbearers are:
Robert Fenoglio, Dwight
Holcomb, Jim L. Keck, Cecil
Matheson, Rocky Sloan,
Hobie Meekins, Teddy
McNabb, and Phil Staley.
Honorary pallbearers are
members of Jean's Men's
Bible Class.
There will be a visitation
on Wednesday, Nov. 28,
from 7 to 8 p.m. at Jerry
Woods Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made
to charity of your choice.

Sotomayor, 72, of Nocona
Hills were held at 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2012, at
the Nocona Hills
Community Church.
P.J. was born Feb. 16,
10940, in Dallas the daugh-
ter of Travis William and
Faustine Margurite
(Franklin) Terry. She was
married Joe Sotomayor and
died Nov. 23, 2012, in
Nocona.
Pat worked as a travel
agent before retiring. She
was a member of the Nocona
Hills Community Church
and the Nocona Hills Ladies
Association.
She was preceded in
death by her father, Travis
Terry.
Survivors include: her
husband, Joe Sotomayor of
Nocona Hills; her mother,
Tina Barrett of Nocona
Hills; daughter Patti Sue
Lenton and husband Justin
of Farmers Branch; two
brothers, Travis Edward
Terry of Argyle and Harry
Wayne Terry of Nocona;
two grandchildren, Andria
Aguilar and husband Eric
and Richard Mauch and wife
Rocio; and four great-grand-
children, Giovanni, Devon,
Dylan and Sadie, and one
great-grandson soon to be
here.
The family requests
memorials be made to
Solaris Hospice of Bowie.
Arrangements were under
the direction of Scott-Morris
Funeral Home.

Maria Sanchez, 53,
passed away Wednesday,
Nov. 21, 2012, in Denton.
Mass of Christian Burial
was held at 11 a.m. Monday,
Nov. 26, at the St. William's
Catholic Church in
Montague with Father
Richard Collins officiating.
Burial followed at
Ferryman Cemetery in
Forestburg.
Rosary was held at 7 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 25, at the
White Family Funeral
Home.
Arrangements are entrust-
ed to the White Family
Funeral Home of Bowie.
Maria was born Aug. 17,
1959, to Jose Villegas and
Ester Morales-Villegas in
Jalpilla, Mexico. She mar-
ried Antonio Sanchez on
March 20, 1980, in
Comonfort, Mexico, and was
a homemaker. Maria is
remembered with love and
appreciation for her devoted
years of life as a wife, moth-
er, sister, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death
by her father, Jose Villegas
and brother-in-law, Antonio
Tellez.
Maria is survived by: her
husband, Antonio Sanchez
of Ringgold; four children,
Angela Sanchez of
Ringgold, Juan Sanchez of
Bowie, Martin Sanchez of
Bowie, and Judith Sanchez
of Ringgold; mother, Ester
Morales of Jalpilla, Mexico;
one grandchild, Natalie
Sanchez; three brothers,
Reyes Morales of Ringgold,
Efren Villegas of Georgia,
and Socorro Villegas of
Jalpilla, Mexico; three sis-
ters, Guadalupe Villegas,
Margarita Villegas, and
Carmela Villegas all of
Jalpilla, Mexico; and numer-
ous nieces and nephews.

Baptist Church in Nocona.
Steve is a retired meter read-
er with Texas-New Mexico
Power Co., and Marlene
works for the City of
Nocona. They have two
daughters, Holly Bishop and
Hay ley Bishop both of
Arlington.
FORESTBURG The
Forestburg community
would like to invite you to a
benefit meal and auction for
the Sanchez family.
Tony Sanchez's wife,
Maria, recently passed away
from cancer. The family has
accumulated a large amount
of medical bills and other
expenses. The family resided
in Forestburg for many
years. Their daughter,
Angela, worked at
Forestburg ISD for several
years.
The benefit will be held at
Forestburg School on
Friday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m.
The benefit will include
an enchilada meal and a live
auction.
