363.-History of the Near East. This is a survey of the
history of the Balkan States, their relation to the different European
powers, their rivalries, their problems, the Balkan Wars,
and the World War.
372.-History of the West. This course pays especial attention
to history of frontier days, westward expansion, Indian troubles,
early trial and outposts. Texas history is especially emphasized.373.-Elements of International Law. This course gives a
knowledge of the general principles of international law and
presents the subject with its many changes and rules as followed
before and after the World War. The principles which underlie
the Mexican problem, and the many unsettled legal questions are
studied. Lectures, reports, and readings.
382.-International Relations. This course will deal with
Latin America and its relation to the United States. The history
of each of the Latin American countries is sketched, and its general
condition, political, social and economic, are described. This
course is mainly lectures, but students are expected to read extensively
in assigned works and to prepare two papers on some
particular problem studied.
ECONOMICS.
215.-Principles of Economics. The principles of economics
of the present will be studied in this course. The course will
deal with value, production, and distribution. Text: Ely, Outlines

225.-Principles of Economics. This is a continuation of
course 215. Some time will be devoted to monopolies, money,
and banking, labor organization, railway, agriculture, and other
economic problems. Text: Ely, Outlines of Economics.
233.-Agricultural Economics. A study of economy as it
meets the demands and problems of the rural population of our
country. Summer quarter.
315.-Economic History of the United States. A survey of
the economic development of the United States from the first
settlement until the present day. Text:. Bogart's Economic History
of the United Siates; Bogart and Thompson's Exercise Book.
