set went to four all with each win-
ning his serves and White took the
lead o t by winning Brown’s service.
Thice double faults by White on his
service gave Crown the next game
and made the set deuce. Crown won
the next two games easily.
Humphrey had a hard time in de-
feating 11 arty of Trinity. The final
score was 6-4, 3-6, 6-6. This match
was long and drawn out and Hum
phrev finally won due to Iuh well
placed slice stroke. Harty was al-
ways guessing as to just which way
the bal was goin gto bounce.
In the doubles Brown and Hum-
phrey won lr the scores of 2-4, 6-2,
6-4. After getting off to a miserable
start and giving but little opposition
in the first set, the l’irate players
won the next two sets with but lit-
tle difficulty.
