This is the night for the fund and
fun.
I believe that on Oct. 28 we wiil liave
our barn danee. You folks can dress
like farm hands whether you own
some acres or not. The halí wiil be
properly deeorated to fit the oceasion;
mu,sic by Steffek and His Versatiles.

Our November 5th meeting wiil start
at 1 p. m. Eleetions of officers wiil bh
on the agenda for that day, so all you
members comc out and vote. if you

Dear Membrrs and Friends,
As you all know, 1SG7 is just about
slipped us by and it is oncc again
time to elect officers. After a brief
meeting Sunday, Nov. 5th, we wiil
devote the remaining time to electing
our officers for 1968. (November 5th
Election Day). We would like very
much for this day to be one of im-
portanee to all our members. All our
meetings are of great importance be-
cause as a result of the meeting the
elected officers can arrivc at a pian
to further the bettermcnt of our lodge.
Leťs go to
the meeting on Nov. 5th vňth open
minds, elect our officers for 1968, and
make Beyersville go right on up the
ladder.

CZECH PLAYS AT LOĎGE 88
Two one-act Czcch plays wiil be pre-
sented by our Dramatic Club Sunday,
October 29, at 2 p.m. The time is
getting close and the actors are in
full swing witli rehearsals. The first
one-act play, “Eveníng in the Villagc/’
wiil be encrustecl with beautiful Czecli
songs, presented by the chorál club
and accompanied by Brother Emil
Vala on his famous accordion. The
ones who know Brother Vala, remem-
ber when he starts stretching his ac-
cordion every vein in your body has a
light feeling and your disposition mei-
lows. This play was arranged by Direc-
tor Brother Miloš Karel, with the as-
sistancc of Brother Jan Schroif. I as-

John Mrázek. These members are all longtime members of Lodge
117 and háve contributed to its welfare down through the years.

plače a crown on your wonderful aft-
er noon of entertainment. I am calling
your attention to the fact that we are
serving a deličíous TURKEY dinner at
noon with all the trimmings. Be nice
and také your lovely wife out of the
kitchen and treát her and yourself to
a wonderful Sunday afternoon. First
for dinner, then at 2 p.m. be seated in
our comfortabie Čhandelier Ballroom
and see the curtain ri.se on two hours
of performance by the devotecl brothers
and sisters that are trying and wiil
give you memories that wiil linger on
for days and weeks. After the program
you wiil háve the pleasure to danee to
your hearťs content to the music of
“Lamplighters,” FREE . . . Now is the
time to mark your ealendar for Sun-
day, October 29, at Lodge Pokrok Hous-
ton 88, address 1435 Beall. You wiil be
glad to see your friends in pleasant
