PROFESSOR JAMES F. SIGLER, M. A.
ENGLISH.
Born in Newark, Ohio, November 23, 1863; educated in National Normal
University of Ohio and Cornell University, of New York, taking A. B. and
A. M. degrees. Senior year as student-teacher of Rhetoric 1891-93; Presi-
dent of Enterprise Normal College, Enterprise, Kansas; Head Master
Jacksonville Educational Institute; 1895 elected Professor of English Lan-
guage and Literature, Polytechnic College.
Prof. Sigler is a teacher of rare culture and marked ability. A man of
character and influence; through these seventeen years no teacher has
won a larger place in the hearts of the students than the Professor of
the English Department.31
